Mary Beth Smallwood
Mary Beth is a native of Mississippi and a 1986 graduate of the physical therapy program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Her PT experience consists of over 30 years in the outpatient setting with an orthopedic emphasis. She was awarded the title of "Orthopedic Certified Specialist" by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2010 after compiling her clinical experience with a passing of the required board certification exam.

She has attended post-graduate professional education courses that address sports-specific injuries and specifically the overhead athlete and has special interest in injury prevention in the athlete of all ages. She also has been trained in the basics of functional capacity evaluations and in McKenzie technique (parts a and b) for reference to neck and back problems. She is also certified in dry needling.

Mary Beth and her husband have two sons and reside in Tupelo, MS. They are active members of Lawndale Presbyterian Church and enjoy tennis, exercise, and other outdoor activities and sporting events.
